Nusat [USU] |
Nusat (North Utah Satellite) was a joint project between Weber State University and
Utah State University. It was a small satellite to demonstrate a method to evaluate the
beams of the Federal Aviation Agency secondary radar systems. The 54.5kg satellite was
deployed from a modified GAS canister on the NASA Space Shuttle Challenger,
STS-51B, and it re-entered in 1986 after a 20 month orbital life.
